Originally painted in acrylic and coloured pencil on wood (50.8 × 40.6 cm), Still became part of the Irish State Art Collection in 2024. The artwork was also featured in Connections, a series of cross-border exhibitions across the island of Ireland, organised jointly by the Department of Finance and the Office of Public Works.

Still captures a quiet moment shared with a supportive friend. Inspired by an everyday interaction, Jane focused on the expressive quality of line and allowed the natural grain of the wood to become part of the composition, adding warmth, movement and character to the portrait.
