Collection: Jennifer Reynolds' Ethereal Photographic Images

Jennifer Reynolds' images have materialised from a project entitled 'Where the Spirit meets the Bones'. Inspired by Irish Folklore, the entirety of this project was shot in Ireland and the majority of it in Kilmacurragh Botanic Gardens in Wicklow, a landscape rich with mythical tales.  When Jennifer is in a forest, she can sense a mythical world existing around her that is not visible to the eye and she has attempted to re-create that world in these photographs. The light sparks within these images represent the Tuatha de Danann (Irish fairies) breaking through the spiritual barrier between our human world and the magical mythical one hidden within our ancestral tales. Nature is viewed as a god in this series, as the higher power guiding us through our life and through to the next one. A source of inspiration and calmness for so many, it has been where we belong since the beginning of time.  As time continues, we seem to have forgotten that. This series hopes to remind us that we are all a part of nature and we dissolve back to it in time.
